It may seem an odd request to commission a designer and then ask for the house to not look like it was interior-designed, but we knew exactly what the client wanted to achieve. It had to be thought through, but not matchy-matchy, a house that appeared effortless but not too 'done'.

Over a period of three years this Notting Hill home was refurbished and refurnished in stages from top to toe. Whilst we were sensitive to the charms of the rather higgledy piggledy old house we introduced elegant and contemporary finishes to bring it up to date.
