The company's founder, Sally Dernie, left a successful career as a lawyer in 2000 to concentrate on her passion for interior design, graduating from one of the country's leading design schools, KLC.

Established in 2003, Sally Dernie Interior Design has quickly earned a reputation for providing a highly individual, personal and friendly service, combining highly creative design with precise planning and excellent attention to detail. Whilst there is no house style our interiors are known for their engaging style and effortless appearance.

Our services are tailored to each individual project and may include space planning, lighting design, detailed design of kitchens and bathrooms, the design of one room or a full refurbishment. The design process is always a collaborative one to ensure our clients are fully involved in the design of their homes.

We believe in providing a professional service and Sally is a full member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID). The organisation promotes high standards throughout the interior design profession, encouraging and fostering proven design ability. Full members are admitted only after interview and proven ability and training over six years. All members are required to carry full insurance cover and attend ongoing training and professional development.
